I operate a local painting business. I hired simply-home-improvement.com for pay per customer leads for my business. They charged $97 per lead and promised high quality leads etc as advertised on their website. The leads i received were terrible. No call backs etc, people saying i had wrong number, name not matching etc. so i paused my account with them after my first 5 leads and called to ask questions about the bad leads they provided. I was credited a couple leads back and told they would fix the problem. I trusted them so i continued, but got even worse resilts. So i felt i was possibly being scammed. I called the next lead they gave me and thankfully they answered the phone. But i did not ask about my painting business. I wanted to know how simply home improvement operated to get me her contact info. So i asked her if she gave simply-home-improvement.com permission to give out her number? She said no. I asked her if they discussed my painting business like they are supposed to? She said no. She said she did not need any or want any construction jobs done on her house whatsoever. She was not happy about it. So i called another lead and found out the same answers. This lead actually said they think it's some kind of scam they call her all the time and give her number out when she doesn't want them to and doesn't want or need any construction work. I contacted simply home improvement to report what i had found. I thought they would be very embarrassed and i would receive my money back. Upon calling them out they refused citing a no refund policy. I said when you steal from people your policies are null and void. They still refused. They never responded to my questions about their shady methods of operation. They just hid behind their phone/computer. They sent me a text with mad emojis. Not sure what i did wrong by asking a lead how they operated or expecting real leads like they told me i would get and charged $970 for. My credit card company has frozen the transactions as they are currently in dispute. I contacted fanbasis.com their credit merchant to notify them of what I found out as well as that i was dusputing the charges. Thank you for your time in reading this.
