Description
My deceased parent received a "final notice" letter from Vicky Mercer, Program Director, of 4Ever Home Warranty requesting an "immediate response" to their final notice of an expired or expiring home warranty. There is no home warranty. The notice contains a "customer ID", an "effective date and expiration date of 12/19/2025 and 01/16/2025", respectively and a Home Protection ID Card with status listed as "pending". The notice states there has has not been a contact from the recipient to get the home warranty up to date and further calls for "immediate" action by the recipient otherwise the service coverage will be revoked and the lapse in coverage could result in liability for costs associated with home repairs. Furthermore, the 4Ever Home Warranty notice states that "final acceptance is subject to your ability to meet eligibility requirements". This is clearly a phishing letter attempting to gain access to an elderly homeowner's information by way of a threatening and coercive letter.
