Description

I received a voicemail with the following transcript, from the number 517-258-9079 at 3:37pm (UTC-04:00), which my caller ID (screenshot attached to report) shows the caller location as Howell, Michigan. This is presumably an attempt to defraud over five thousand dollars, and is the latest in a newly known string of disaster-relief funding scams: “Hey it's Dan from www.myreliefclaim.com this is a final notice regarding $5286 already issued in your name that still hasn't been collected if this isn't claimed it can be returned and removed from eligibility this money does not get resent automatically go to www.myreliefclaim.com search your name and secure it before it's gone.” I did not respond, deleted the voicemail, and promptly created this BBB report.
