I googled a local dryer vent cleaning g company and a “local” company under the name Alpha Clean Air Duct Cleaning came up and had good reviews online so I sent them a message. They then texted me back within a few minutes and we scheduled an appointment on 1/11/26. In a text, the company stated that the cleaning would be $149. Upon their arrival, they noticed I needed a couple of things fixed, which they could do. However, the price of the cleaning jumped to over $200 and with the repairs the entire “cleaning” came to $489.02. Not knowing any better, I paid them because it appeared as if they did a decent job. However, the receipt that I received has a totally different business name on it, showing “The Pro Bros LLC.” They have a website listed, which brings you to a generic scam website for chimney sweeps. After looking further into it, it appears that there are multiple websites that are the exact same with different names for the same line of work. I am unsure if they even cleaned my vents and I am out nearly $500 for a service I did not get.
