On 01/04/2026 received a text regarding a work from home job. Had to download microsoft teams and create an account. Spoke to someone name Erica Laster and she asked a series of questions interviewing me without calling on the phone. Asked series of questions then told me i was hired. Reached out to someone name Torres Richard and he was my assigned supervisor. He wanted me to send my demographic information. After that received an email for the offer letter(which was blank had to fill it out myself) had to fill out background check, w2 form, I9 form, direct deposit, etc. Once that was done wanted me to send my cashapp and chime username because the company was supposed to send funds for the equipment. Once i sent that, Torres went ghost and never heard from him. Highly believe I was scammed. Please review this and help me so I don’t get my identity stolen or any money stolen from my accounts.
