Description

was contacted regarding an executive-level opportunity by an individual identifying herself as: Alexandra Morgan Head of Human Resources — Careers Flow Recruit Phone: +1 (415) 376-8064 Email: [email protected] Website: careersflowrecruit.net During the recruitment process, I was repeatedly told that my resume was “not ATS compatible” and that I was required to use a specific third-party vendor, resumesats.com, to proceed. I complied with all previously stated resume requirements using two independent ATS-compatible platforms, cross-verified the outputs, and confirmed that the resume met all technical criteria provided. Despite this, the recruiter continued to insist that only resumes generated by this single vendor would be accepted, without providing any technical justification. I was also encouraged to submit payment and potentially personal information to this website. I declined, as I am not familiar with the vendor and there is no legitimate industry requirement to use a specific paid service for ATS compatibility. When I questioned the necessity of this requirement, no further explanation was provided beyond insisting on that one vendor. Why this appears suspicious: There is no legitimate ATS system that requires resumes from a single paid vendor. BBB Scam Tracker and consumer alerts document a known employment scam pattern where recruiters funnel candidates to paid resume-formatting websites under the claim of “ATS compliance.” resumesats.com is a recently created site with limited independent reputation and mixed trust indicators. The focus of the interaction shifted from job qualifications to payment for a resume service, which is a known red flag in employment scams. Outcome: I declined to use the vendor and withdrew from the process. I am submitting this report to help prevent other job seekers—especially executives—from being pressured into paying unnecessary fees or sharing personal information under false pretenses. Requested BBB Action: Review resumesats.com in connection with employment-related complaints. Review recruiting practices associated with Careers Flow Recruit and the above contact details. Flag this pattern publicly to warn job seekers.
