Description
I purchased a Christmas gift through an ad I saw on Facebook. I made the purchase on 12/05 which allowed plenty of time to ship before Christmas. I received an email from the seller a couple days later stating my item was being shipped from Sweden and provided me with a link to a site called tracking hub to track my package. Every few days I would get another email updating me on my shipping status and providing the tracking link. I emailed the company several times to complain about how long it was taking and they kept assuring me that they would context the carrier to have them expedite the package. I finally emailed them again on 1/4 telling them I wanted my money back. They said that wasn't possible because the package was already in transit. Three days later a package was delivered to my house. It arrived in a plastic shopping bag covered in packing tape and the return address said Abby Adkins 605 BONNIE ST LN ELK GROVE, CHICAGO IL 60007. This was not the tracking number I'd been provided from the company and it shows it was received by USPS on 1/02/26. Inside was a cheap knock off of the product I ordered - clearly it was grossly misrepresented online - and it didn't even work properly. When I Googled Abby Adkins I saw numerous posts across the internet about this scam.
