Description
Good Morning, This business is a SCAM that baits and swtiches clients - tricks them into opening credit accounts by filling important information in for them on their behalf- I have received NO SERVICES to date and they refuse to cancel. When you go to their location, they're ALWAYS CLOSED and won't allow you to talk to anyone local- just emails from customer service agents in different states, and even Canada. I went in for a "new customer special" for a $49 facial on 12/11- after I was coerced into a "Consultation Room" where I was shown images and a 1-100 rating of my skin- and humiliated when the employee told me my skin was some of the worst he's seen, and that "I have the skin of a 44" year old, and I am 39... It felt like harrassment but also was shown images of others who's skin "they fixed" - and "you could look like this too!" antics were given. I was misled and given false information in a consultation- and told that I was inquiring on my available purchasing power and told "You don't have to use it"- the employee (Ron Shalit) said "fill in what you can, and i'll fill in the rest" and proceeded to fill in the highest package price they offer along with all the other missing fields- and asked for a copy of my drivers license as I was filling out a consent form ($4889) and said "today only, i can do this for the lower price of $3200" - at that point I was feeling like I was being scammed. I said "I can't afford this", "no", etc. repeatedly. He then asked to see my credit card (American Express) and asked to hold it "because of the floral design"- and I noticed he flipped it around and was staring at the numbers. He said "Why don't you just pay for it all today and get the points?" I said "I am a mom, it's almost Christmas, I would never do that". Then he mentioned PatientFi- and I said no, and he said "Well, we have affirm too, have you used it?" I said I had, and that i've used it for purchases for my kids. He then said "Well if you already have an account, open up your app and show me your purchasing power". Within 30 seconds he handed me the tablet and asked for my "Consent to Treat information" - which actually was the AFFIRM APPLICATION! He advanced past the first page so I coudn't see what information was on it before putting in my contact information - then handed it to him "To fill in the fields I didn't know". I have recevied NO SERVICES from this company- the package was for "12 Facials, and a free skincare gift" - which they won't return, and now are claiming the skincare alone is worth (finally received a pricing list after I mentioned i've retained an attorney)- attached here: I returned the next day twice to complain as it showed up on my credit monitoring- AFTER I was told "No impact on your credit score, this is a soft pull just to see your purchasing power". Doors were closed and locked. I've returned 7 times since - and not once has anyone been there during posted -business hours. (12/11 evening) (12/12 - 11:10 AM and 3:40PM) 12/13 - 9:40PM 12/18 2:25PM 12/19 1:30PM 12/21 9:15AM This company is a full scam - has an "F" rating by BBB, all locations have dozens of complaints around "Bait and Switch", "High Pressure Sales Tactics" and fully violating most of the Consumer's Rights including Right to be Informed (No pricing list provided, anywhere), Right to Safety (they provide a "free gift" which is a bag of lotions that they ask you to open during the consultation- before you've even agreed to anything- and I had a bad reaction to it and they will not accept any of my unopened items - simply state "No Refund!". Below is a list of rights they've violated - which are in my complaint to the FTC: Federal Trade Commission Complaint Bad Business Practices • "fraud, deception, and unfair business practices in the marketplace • Misrepresentation • unconscionable contract terms 7 Rights of Consumers: • Violated: o Right to Safety ? To be protected against products, production methods and services which are hazardous to health or life. o Right to be Informed ? To be given the facts needed to make an informed choice, to be protected against dishonest or misleading advertising and labelling. o Right to Choose ? To be able to select from a range of products and services, offered at competitive prices with an assurance of satisfactory quality. They are listed as a Body Waxing business by LARA - and I have requested their licensing to provide the services they advertise (Medical Grade Facial Equipment and Services, Microneedling, Lasers, RF, Botox, Medical Weight Loss, etc). They also go by "Serenity Estetics". It appears they've operated under multiple business names since 2023 - Locations I know of below: USA: Grandville, MI Des Moines, Iowa Denver, CO Cherry Creek, CO Englewood, CO Sioux Falls 1 Sioux Falls 2 Omaha NE 1 Omaha NE 2 Lincoln NE Overland Park KS Canada Vancouver Saskatoon Regina Burlington Mississauga The agent told me they have locations in "Southern Florida" as well- so i'm sure they operate under a different business name there. Here is a news article from their IA location: https://www.wowt.com/2025/11/13/serenity-spa-billing-practices-leave-customers-red-faced/ If you look into their business online you'll find DOZENS of reviews stating the same information i'm sharing above. BBB information can be found here: https://www.bbb.org/us/mi/wyoming/profile/spa/serenity-spa-facials-grand-rapids-0372-90063886 Along with reviews: (there are dozens of pages) https://www.reddit.com/r/Omaha/comments/1ozwuls/serenity_spa_omaha_small_claims_court_followup/ https://www.reddit.com/r/Omaha/comments/1impbl0/serenity_spa_180th_scam/ I am pursing a dispute with Affirm, reaching out to local news outlets, have already contacted the BBB and they've tried reaching out multiple times for months (for my claim and a dozen others, for the Grand Rapids location only)- to which they haven't responded. I finally was able to connect with a person named "Pamela Domino" from "Serenity Spa" (they have many other business names)- and offered me a new price of $3339 - but i'd have to sign off on rights to pursue legal action and they demanded i stopped the investigation and remove all negative reviews and reports- which I am obviously not doing. If you do business with this company, and there are no protection methods for consumers, it's only a matter of time before they pull you into their legal mess that is unfolding. What action or help can you all provide as the payment platform was used to complete this transaction? Thank you, Autumn Lone 616-498-3985
