Description

Below is the exact communication that transpired between myself and "Elena" [XOVARA] I have copy/pasted the text thread with my responses and Xovara/Elena's responses clearly marked. [RCS chat with (701) 518-7967]: XOVARA/ELENA: "Hi, this is Elena. Olivia Carter from ApexEdge Staffing mentioned you might be a strong match for a flexible role we’re filling. I’d love to give you a quick overview. Do you have a moment to chat now?" MY RESPONSE: "Yes" XOVARA/ELENA: "Thanks for your response. I’ll walk you through everything clearly so you can decide if this fits what you’re looking for." "This is a Product Maintenance position with XOVARA. It’s fully remote and doesn’t require any previous experience. The way it works is simple: XOVARA utilizes its platform and algorithm to enhance product rankings by generating genuine engagement through clicks, thereby making those products more visible to shoppers." "Think about how you shop on Amazon or Walmart, most people only look at the top-ranked products with lots of sales and reviews. Products without visibility often get overlooked. Our job is to help those products gain exposure and traction by generating authentic engagement." "Your role is to help these lesser-known products gain exposure. You’ll use the XOVARA platform to engage with products and submit them through the system. This process boosts their ranking and visibility on e-commerce sites. Each time you complete a set of submissions, you get paid instantly, with no fees, no sensitive personal information required." "Do you have experience with this kind of work, or is this your first time?" MY RESPONSE: "It would be my first, but I live with my brother who has previously been employed doing search optimization work, so he could help me" XOVARA/ELENA: "That’s totally fine, no prior experience is needed! I’ll walk you through every step during training so you’ll feel completely confident before starting." "Do you feel like you understand the job description before I go over the salary details?" MY RESPONSE: "Just curious, how would I engage with the products?" XOVARA/ELENA: "Your role is to click on unrated products on the platform and submit them to help boost their exposure, which can lead to higher sales and increased customer interest. But don't worry, I will guide you all through the training and you will have a better understanding of how it works." "Can I proceed to share the salary details?" MY RESPONSE: "Yes" XOVARA/ELENA: "SALARY REVIEW How the Earnings Work: You complete 3 task sets each day. On the 5th day, you receive a base salary of 800 USDC. After payout, the count resets and continues: Day 15: receive 1,800 USDC Day 30: receive 3,400 USDC In total, your monthly base salary is 6,000 USDC. Extra Income: Besides the base salary, you also earn extra daily income by completing your 3 task sets. Extra earnings can be withdrawn daily to your account during working hours (9:00 AM – 9:00 PM EST). Company Charity: The platform donates part of its profits to the World Food Programmed (WFP) to support people in need." "If you understand both the job content and the salary details, then I will take you into the training session so you can understand the process of the work? ??" "Can we proceed with the training?" *********SIDENOTE********** It was at this point that I decided to "google" the company "XOVARA" and one of the top search results was the BBB scam tracker for XOVARA, which confirmed my suspicions that this offer was a scam. I began filling out a report about this particular interaction I was encountering. One of the questions on the BBB scam report requested the location claimed by the scammer. I could not answer that question, so I returned to the text thread: MY RESPONSE: "Where is the company based out of, just curious?" XOVARA/ELENA: "The headquarters is based in Poland but has different branches across the globe." "Here is the official website https://www.xovarawebs.com" "If you have any questions for clarification, do let me know." END OF CONVERSATION ******No further communication transpired.****** ADDITIONALLY, I did not click on that link, as I was only trying to obtain additional information for the purpose of reporting the scam. Lastly, I attempted to upload screenshots of the actual text thread, but there were 5 images, and it seems that I am able to submit only a single upload/image.
