Description

Received a text, someone took notice of me from Cal jobs as I am now currently unemployed. Below is the message from the phone number 951508250: I hope this message finds you well! My name is Rudy Roth, and I'm part of the recruitment team at Alpha Mechanical Services Inc., a trusted leader in mechanical and HVAC solutions. We recently came across your impressive resume on Cal JOBS and believe your skills align perfectly with an open position we're eager to fill. We're currently hiring for a Remote Data Entry Clerk to join our growing administrative team. This work-from-home role offers a competitive starting wage of $30 per hour, along with flexible hours and opportunities for growth within our organization. Your experience and attention to detail, as highlighted in your resume, make you a strong candidate for this position. You can confirm your interest by replying back. I looked up their website, https://www.alphamechanicalservicesinc.com/ I went through the interview process through teams, and received 3 pdfs to fill out the next day. It follows a procedure similarly to my previous position. One pdf had a w4, another was basic application questions, the other was my checking account information for direct deposit. Everything seems legitimate, except. I have not seen person face or contacted anyone else from the company. He asked for me to start training on the 22nd, as soon as I submitted the pdfs, but I turned him down for the originally agreed oct 1st. I had nothing to record my time. The payment for the first 7 days was suddenly 22/hr. for only 3 hrs. of training a day. I was asked to answer a question that I could find the answer on Wikipedia. He sent an E-Check for said training and funding for equipment need for the job, which he asked to deposit in my bank account then the check was put on a hold and it would take some time for the check to clear he asked if I could sent a part payment for the equipment of my own money. This is where I got suspicious. i called my bank and told them had to close my account (in which i have no access to my money at the moment i have 2 kids with a 3rd on the way), freeze my credit, also reporting to the FBI because this person has my information, now worried about identity theft as well. I also looked up the address on the website, and it seems like a residential home, 2823 Palma Circle Corona, CA 92881. I don't see the business as a part of the listed search for better business beareu. I looked up the website, and it seems, and I saw that it may be a scam website
