Description

Last year, wife bought a car with a service contract through a factory dealership. About 12 months later, wife received a letter warning that she had not, "contacted us to have your vehicle service contract activated." The letter adds that, "you can still activate a service contract... before it's too late." The clear implication is that we did not "activate" the factory service contract after purchase. Other text in the letter included terms like, "FINAL NOTICE" and "IMMEDIATE RESPONSE REQUESTED" Letter did not mention the dealership or include a service company name or website. The letter only provided the phone number to call: 888-404-1180. In fine print at the bottom, the letter states that "All policies are through Service Activation Center FL License #: G158355" This sounds like the department of a company we might already be doing business with. Online research revealed this to be a scam attempting to sell a service contract that may not be honored for repairs by the dealership or any other service/repair shop! , They are attempting to sell a product we dont need and which may not deliver what is promised anyway.
