I signed up as a founding member through Instagram. I have all the screenshots I was told by the staff I would have a one time charge for one dollar and then not have a monthly fee come out until January 1, 2026 with the exception of an annual fee of $69.99. My account now says I owe one $153.97. I called the club and their financial institution. The financial institution said I had to call the club that they could not do anything. I called the club and they can’t even pull up my agreement, but I can see my agreement and in the monthly fee, it says TBD. The lady at the front desk said there was no manager there and they might not be in for a while, but they eventually would call me back. I asked if I could still attend the gym while waiting for this dispute to be resolved she told me no so I said I just want to cancel in the agreement as soon as I can cancel at any time they won’t let me cancel unless I pay $180 and change. This is a scam to get people to sign up again. My agreement says founding members and I was promised and I have a screenshot saying I did not have to pay for three months yet they’ve been billing me. I live in two different states so I’ve not been there in a while. I am back in New York and was in shocked to see how much I owed and disappointed in the fact that they can’t even pull up my agreement or figure out what’s going on. I will never pay this fee and I assume they’re gonna keep charging me racking up fees. Please help make this not happen as I am a disabled person and do not have a lot of money thank you.
