The scammer's name was Constance Washington. She contacted the funeral home and told them that she was an agent from New York Life and needed to speak with me. She told me that my mother had a 120,000 life insurance policy and that she left it to my siblings and me. She explained that for them to pay for my mother's cremation, we needed to pay her a total of $593.27.
