This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
They posed as a nursing agency, and advised that were recruiting for a local hospital for a 13 week nursing assignment. I was contacted by Daniel Craig, the "Delivery Manager". He sent me an email with what was supposed to be the hospital's HR person stating they wanted to offer me the position. I signed a contract, and sent all the required information, including direct deposit information, I 9 form with a copy of my passport for proof of residency, and W4 form. Paid for the background check as Daniel Craig advised that it would be reimbursed once I received my first paycheck. Almost immediately after I sent my information to Daniel, he advised that the hospital withdrew the contract, and that I would receive a refund for the background check. Never received the refund, and he stopped replying to my emails and phone calls.
