This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
A caller by the name of Anthony Thompson from the HR Department of Northcrate Logistics called, offering a WFH job for a remote Cargo Specialist position. While I was on the phone with him I tried looking up the company’s website and found nothing, but previous reports on the BBB. I asked him for the company’s website or address he completely ignored my question, 3 times, and then pretended to not be able to to hear me after 7 mins of conversing once I mentioned the BBB reports.
