They showed up at our doorstep offering to clean the weeds and replace the mulch. Our front yard is a small area (5x7) and they said they were charging $15 per bag of mulch. They said they would estimate the number of bags and get back to us and bring us a sample to see the material which we agreed. We approved the material but then they said they need to work on estimating the number of bags and needed to start the work to give a proper/more accurate estimate. Later they knocked on our door and stated the work was completed. They stated they used 160 bags and tried to charge us $2,400! Over the last three years we only needed 6-8 bags each time (always less than $250 - labor and all). They were clearly scamming families before Christmas. The names provided were Omar and Alex. Awful scam and very deceptive. We never had an issue before with any landscapers here and didn’t have trust issues until now. Wish we would have called the cops. They took advantage of us and I hope more families are on alert about this. Unfortunate experience!
