Chloe texted me with a job opportunity using my computer to audit items to supposedly check the popularity on the web. Spent numerous hours training and getting set up. She stated she was a recruiter from Indeed. I also got a similar text from someone stating they were a recruiter from Volt. I went so far as to complete an ‘auditing’ session. Chloe added me to a group of ‘other auditors’ on WhatsApp “so we could help each other” if there were questions. I suspect the group chat was meant to keep us engaged in the endeavor. Chloe said that the company only paid through CashApp. I began to get suspicious. So, I checked with the BBB. I am grateful to the other people that posted about their experience. I immediately told Chloe I was no longer interested. When she asked why I told her. This was 2 weeks ago. She continued to harass me with texts until I blocked her.
