Description

Found phone number (833-627-7236) on Internet for United Airlines in order to reserve seats for upcoming flights. My flights were already reserved by a tour company & this "United Airlines" representative said he could get cheaper flights but I had to pay first then wait for refund. Sean at 1-888-300-3373 did reserve United Airlines seats with upgrades. He sent a confirmation email with United Airlines logo with new 1-888-300-3373 number to call him with any issues. I called the 1-888-300-3373 number back to get a vegetarian meal & was transferred to Sean so other people work with this person--did not get the meals added by Sean for my flights. Called Sean again when I did not get the refund as promised. He tried to charge me a second time to get the refund & said my credit card did not work that he had on file so he would send a check in the mail. This second email was not marked with United Airlines logo but said it was from Air Travel Desks LLC in the attached disclaimer. I then checked my credit card statements & another phone number appeared on statement for this second charge: 855-460-7270 with the word RESERVATIONS. The first charge listed on my credit card statement said AIRFARE CHARGE with the number 847-9996771 IL next to it. I called this number today & the call was answered by Galaxy Travel Tours voice response with options to transfer to different departments. After the second charge, I became suspicious & called my credit card company immediately to dispute the charges & cancel my credit card. Not sure I will get back the first $1982.33 I got charged. Also reported this fraud to the United Airlines desk at my local airport. Will also report to FBI fraud site. Local police did not take report or investigate.
