Requested a quote to repair gasket in washer. I was told that Service call was $80. Technician came to the condo unit on Friday Dec 19. This is a rental and tenants let him in. He called me to advise the cost was $838 and would require half deposit. I said I would consider but it was too expensive. I thought about it and did not want to proceed. Tenants signed the quote without my authorization. Cost is double what other companies are charging. I called the company and advised that I did not want to proceed with the work as it was too expensive. They said I have to pay $280 for labor. No labor was done and no diagnostic. I will pay for service call but not the labor charges. Tenant advised the technician opened the washer door and wrote the quote. Technician should not have asked tenants to sign off on quote. They are not authorized.
