This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
I responded to an online puppy listing and paid a $350 deposit via Zelle to the breeder (Melissa Robinson - paid husband Glenn Dobson via Zelle) I was then directed to a “pet transport company” (United Logistic Services - paid $499 + fees of $14.77 ($513) so I could use a credit card to Darvin Williams) via PayPal for a refundable crate. After payment, I was pressured to send escalating additional fees for insurance and expedited delivery, with promises of cash refunds upon delivery. When I attempted to cancel, I was told refunds were impossible. No puppy was delivered, and the transport company and breeder cannot be independently verified. I now believe this was a coordinated puppy and pet-shipping scam. Phone number above is one given to me by the "transport" company for ease in communicating. The "breeder" Melissa Robson has a FB page and claims to have been in business for 15 years. Information related to the transport service is above.
