This is the latest problem with my Personal information being stolen and used for a scam. in 2023, I started receiving monthly notices from MyIDCare.gov that both my email addresses were found on the Dark Web. This continued until last year, when I reported both addresses (where the IDcare reports said my emails were fraudelently used) to the FTC. I DO actually have a mortgage with NWFCU, but know they'd send me any mortgage information through their encrypted messaging system. I didn't call the phone number on the card; insteading Googling it. It came up as a Scam phone number on your website, so I'm filing a report. I also sent a message to my Credit Union, with a picture of the notice, so they can put other members on alert. I already have Credit freezes and monitoring set up through the 3 major credit-reporting agencies - TransUnion, Experian, and Equifax. However, before the MyIDCare.gov monitoring ran out of funding earlier this year, I learned my SSN was leaked in the National Public Data breach last August. I requested all my data be deleted from that organization after learning of the breach (THIS YEAR) but am concerned this could be an escalation of the fraud/scams/harrassment I've already been dealing with. I'm probably NOT the only one. I'm attaching a name/address redacted photo of the notice - let me know if you need the un-redacted version. I'm wondering how some scammer found out who my mortgage is through, but assume it's due to the NPD breach, the 2015 insurance data breach; whoever put my emails on the Dark Web; or any other time my data's been leaked publicly. Hope this helps. Happy Holidays!
