This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
My mom saw an Instagram ad for personalized Christmas ornaments. She clicked on the link in the description of a post that has since been deleted, and it led her to “https://www.woohops.com/“, where she made a purchase of two ornaments for $25.29 and $21.99. The company said that it would ship within 10 days of creating the label, but it has been almost three weeks now and we have received no update. The tracking website as well as the payment processor that the company uses, “https://www.17track.net/en” and “ https://www.oceanpayment.com/“ also seem to be scams based on the numerous reviews I’ve seen online. I would also like to add that no traces of “woohops” can be found on Instagram anymore. From the reviews that I have read on Trustpilot, of the people that did receive their order from woohops, it has come in a size much smaller than expected and is not 3d, like they advertised.
