This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
Scam pretended to be Target with security code number to log in to Target account. It said that if you didn't request a security code number to call (800)-394-1829. Two texts were sent together with two different security code numbers. The same scam was repeated almost immediately from a different phone number (888)-924-8461.
