Description
Tower Imaging contacted our front office administrator. The scammer stated that we would send you 3 free printer cartridges to try, and then three that we would only pay for if we were satisfied with the quality or send the product back. A rebate check for $25.00 was set right away, before we received any product or invoice. Once we cashed the rebate, an invoice was sent for over $600.00, then the next day the product was received as a drop ship, not a signer-requested item. There was no response when contacting Tower Imaging to send the overpriced product back. There for we shipped it back with UPS $ for $35.23. Daren Banks from Accounting started calling our office demanding that we return the $25.00 rebate money. I asked Daren for the contract for the agreement that was made. Daren replied that there was none. It was verbal. I explained that this is not how we approve purchases, and the person you spoke with has been with the company for some years and is involved heavily with purchasing, with no such incidents ever happening. I explained that if they would like their $25.00 returned, as it was a rebate, then they can return our shipping fee for something they sent to us with no purchase agreement. Daren threatened to send our company to collections and have it reported on our credit. I informed Daren that our Legal Counsel will respond if this is attempted. This company is constantly doing this type of scam to other companies.
