I signed up for a BIOMA subscription advertised as something I could “cancel anytime,” but when I tried to cancel well before my next renewal, I was told I had to place another order before cancellation would be allowed. This is a classic subscription “trap” and directly contradicts the promise of easy cancellation that current FTC rules expect for recurring subscriptions and negative-option plans, which must allow simple, immediate cancellation via the same medium used to sign up. I was only permitted to “pause” for a month, not to truly cancel, which made the policy feel deceptive and coercive rather than customer-focused.
