Description

I was looking for a specific product for a gift, and the Klyvera website looked very professional and legitimate, and they were having a "half off" sale, so I tried to purchase one of the products....and was presented with a "purchase protection" option for almost the same price as the product. The link to decline this added protection was tiny and in faint font. When I clicked on the link to decline that added fee, the website indicated that my entire purchase was unsuccessful. I had also gotten a fraud inquiry about the attempted product purchase from my credit card (which should have been a big red flag to me, but I thought it was just a stringent fraud filter), so tried the product purchase with a second credit card, again declining the added purchase protection.... I checked my email for a confirmation and found that they charged me for 3 of the products, and added 3 separate purchase protection plans...so an original attempt at purchasing a $14.99 product was set to cost nearly $60. I tried calling their "customer service" number and after a lengthy wait time, was hung up on 3 times in a row. I then emailed their customer service department and informed them of the over-charge and the added items they charged me for and told them I'd be contacting my bank to report the additional and erroneous charges, and would be informing the BBB of their dishonest practices. I have so far been refunded for one of the 3 products, and for one of the 3 purchase protection added charges, and have canceled the second credit card used after I was duped into thinking it was an issue on my end that was the initial product purchase problem. I feel like a dunce for not checking the BBB before assuming they were a legitimate company whose "Made in the USA" tag line made seem wholesome and legitimate.
