This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
I was contacted during a job search by Sarpro. They emailed me, I assumed I had applied because they spelled my name as it was written on my resume. They sent me a link to their website to fill out their application form, which did not ask for any info that wasn’t on my resume (name, address, phone number, email). They then scheduled a phone interview, which I attended. It seemed off, the questions were not quite right, and they didn’t ask enough. The next day they sent me a very proper looking offer letter via email, which seemed fast for a job at that pay rate. I checked WHOIS and saw that their website was set up on the 8th of December of this year.
