On November 28th, 2025, I thought I was taking advantage of a Black Friday deal to purchase a shoe stretcher for $19.79 from this website: https://premiumfootco.com/product/shoe-stretcher/ The website clearly shows advertises free shipping and clearly shows that the stretcher comes with inserts. I also order some additional inserts. I was surprised when I checked out to see that I had actually been charged an extra $7 for shipping but decided not to worry about it. However, when I received the stretcher, it contained NO inserts, so I contacted the company They informed me that, despite all indications to the contrary on the website, the stretcher did not in fact come with inserts, and that the additional inserts I ordered were not in stock and directed me to a place on Amazon where I could purchase them separately. They told me they had credited my account for the price of the additional inserts. In total, I should have been charged $19.79, plus any associated tax. In reality, here's what happened: My credit has two charges, one for $31.77 and one for $4.49, AND my credit card company contacted me about possible fraudulent activity on my account, which turned out was an additional $39.99 charge subscription fee they were trying to charge. . So, a ~$20 purchase has turned into $75+, wasted a lot of my time trying to resolve it and resulted in having to cancel my credit card to protect myself from this company,. They still have the deal that I thought I was getting advertised on their website.
