I was contacted by Orchard Hill Realty with a rich Mexican buyer for my timeshare and was told that I only had to pay a 6% sales commission. After I signed the contract, the Realty company found that I had to pay $6,200 for a temporary license to do business in Mexico. The buyer offered to reimburse this cost as well. Next there was a requirement to pay a sales tax on my timeshare to a county in Mexico and this was also said to be reimbursed by the buyer. The next fee was a fee imposed by the Mexican govt also reimbursed by the buyer. Each of these fees had to be paid by me before the irrevocable trust could be disbursed to me. So after 2 months of promises to disburse the funds and close on my timeshare, it never happened.. There was also an Escrow Acct Vel that was deeply involved in this scam as well.
