Scam information

This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.

Description

I ordered products from an online store called “Cozzies,” which claims to sell electric heated blankets. After receiving order confirmations and UPS tracking numbers, the packages never arrived at my address. When I checked the UPS tracking information, both shipments showed as “Delivered,” but the delivery details were incorrect. One package was marked as signed by someone named “Hanson,” who is not associated with my household and not a neighbor. The delivery location on the UPS map and timestamps did not match my actual address, and no delivery photo was provided for that shipment. The second package had a delivery photo attached, but the photo clearly showed a completely different building and front door, not my residence. That tracking history also showed unusual and unauthorized account activity, including “delivery instructions provided by the receiver,” a “Hold at UPS Access Point Requested,” and a “Delivery Change Canceled.” No one in my household made these requests. I contacted UPS multiple times, but they were unable to recover the packages and directed me back to the seller. I reached out to Cozzies through their website’s contact form. They responded once, acknowledged the issue, and offered either a replacement order or a refund. I selected the replacement option immediately. After that, communication abruptly stopped. No replacement items were shipped, and no further responses were received. I have since discovered that the store appears to be operating through a basic Shopify storefront and provides no legitimate customer service or reliable way to resolve issues. The behavior suggests the store is misusing Shopify’s platform to sell products that are never delivered correctly, then relying on UPS delivery confirmations at incorrect addresses to avoid responsibility. This complaint is being filed to warn others and prevent additional customers from losing money to this business.
