Scam information

This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.

Description

I received a letter stamped, "Second Notice-Time Sensitive. The letter came from what appears to be the Records Division, PO Box 100090, Kennesaw, GA 30156. Enclosed is a T-2 2026 Benefit form for Connecticut Citizens only. The form says, "you may qualify for a state approved policy to pay for your final expenses up to $35,000. Kindly Reply Dec. 22, 2025." However at the bottom it states, " This is a solicitation for insurance. By providing your information to Mail Pro Leads, you are authorizing a licensed agent to contact you even if you are on a federal or state do- not- call registry or list. Not affiliated with or endorsed by any government agency. " What??? They're making it appear as if they're affiliated with the government, but at the bottom of the form say they're not.
