Scam information

This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.

Description

The scammer, ABS Auto Repos, advertises via Facebook marketplace through fake individual profiles, repossessed cars via auction at discounted prices. I called the number and Jessica Gomez is very nice, explained how the whole process works. I do some due diligence (not nearly enough), and she/company seem legit. I win an auction for a 2025 Rivian, and I received a Purchase agreement and a payment invoice. I wire the money and received a shipping confirmation that the car will be shipped to my home on December 5th. No car arrives. The week before shipping arrival, Jessica stops answering and blocks my calls and refuses to answer emails. Total Scam. I reported to the FBI via ICC complaint, the California attorney general, FTC, Facebook, Chase Bank, and the Corona Police Dept. Please do the same.
