This person called and claimed to partners with my mortgage company (Rocket Mortgage) and stated that it was a requirement of our refinance that we get this insurance. Insurance incase my husband or I or both died. I asked if it was a recorded line he said ye. When I asked to speak to his supervisor he started to laugh and said just chill out. Then told me he never said this was required. He then told me he was an independent contractor. I told him that I would need to call Rocket Mortgage to verify all of this as that is my mortgage company. Then he said this is not required.
