This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
The fake website that I encountered on 11/30 was www.lushbaultry.com, which advertises 75% off of gift sets. I did not realize the fake site until I tried to purchase several items. After entering my billing information - name, email, phone number, and credit card information - the site declined the card. Upon further investigation, I realized that this site is not legit and is used for the sole purpose of stealing credit card info. I immediately had to report it to my bank & closed the account.
