The car salesman/auto dealership was referred to me by a friend. As I am out of the state, I contacted the auto dealer via telephone. We exchanged text messages and video messages in regards to the purchase of an automobile. He seemed as if he would be able to provide a quality product. I sent him a down payment of $3500 via Apple Pay, electronic cash transfer. At that point, the communication began to slow down tremendously. I had to hound him to follow up with me about the progress of selecting a car. When I finally requested my money back as I started to become worried that indeed this was a scheme. He sent me a picture of an automobile that he had secured for me. It has been over 60 days, and I still have not received the automobile, the title, or my refund.
