Description

I saw the advertisement for these traceable children's workbooks which were being advertised as a bundle for the holidays on instagram. The price was good and i felt my kiddo would like them so i bought them because the website seemed professional and it didn't look like a scam..... The bundle came with a set of five workbooks with pens cuz the books need special disappearing ink. They claimed this set was worth just under 300 bucks, and that it was on sale for just 39.99. I did receive the bundle, which came with it's own problems. They were not the size they were advertised as. The photos on the website showed full notebook size workbooks, but the ones I received are about the size of my hand. The scam in question here is when I got monthly charges of $29.99 from their company on my credit card, which they billed as a "subscription". This was never mentioned on the bundle i bought. I never received confirmation that I was being signed up for one, or that I was being offered any additional services or resources. I tried to find a way to contact them, and only found an email address. I also realized recently that their website has no place for customers to actually LEAVE a review, even though half of their marketing is literally these really great looking reviews.... So during when i was looking for ways to contact them i noticed that there's really no way TO contact them, or any other identifying information. The business was established SOME TIME this year, and some obviously fabricated all of these reviews and "teacher recommendations". They clearly sell a ghetto misleading product just to get your card info so they can sack you for everything your worth hoping you won't notice- i'd put money that the subscription is how they make bank. I ended up emailing them to ask for a refund because i never agreed to this subscription, didn't want it, still don't want it and certainly can't afford it on disability in this economy. I have enclosed a screenshot of their response, with identifying information redacted. It's very clearly a template-botted response.
