used qr-code-generator.com in 2024 to create QR codes for my wedding invitations, believing it was a free service. Two weeks after creating the codes, I received notice that I needed to pay $190 or the codes would expire. Since they were already printed on my invitations, I was forced to pay, though the codes were never actually used. On November 27, 2025, the company automatically charged me another $190 for an annual subscription renewal without any prior notice or reminder email. I had already cancelled my subscription before this charge occurred, as confirmed in my immediate response to their billing email that same day. When I contacted their support team to request a refund, explaining that I had cancelled the subscription and was not using their service, they refused. Their representative Monica stated the charge was valid because the cancellation was processed "after the renewal date," even though I cancelled immediately upon being notified of the charge. I believe this is an unauthorized charge because I had cancelled the service, received no advance warning about the renewal, and have not used their service since my wedding in 2024. The company is refusing to issue a refund based on their "internal policy."
