I was initially contacted via text message from Carey Pekins, Talent Acquisition Specialist at CompaxDigital. She has reviewed my resume and forwarded it to their management team for the potential next steps. If I were interested in an interview, please reply YES. I texted YES and received a reply the next day with a list of the available remote jobs and a link to a Microsoft Teams meeting for a text interview with Mr. Spencer Bruington. Mr. Spencer Bruington introduced himself as the Hiring Manager for CompaxDigital and gave me a quick overview of the full job description, company services, and a few interview questions. One question asked "What financial institution do you operate with to see if it tallies with that of our payroll, and how would you like to be paid if you are been hired." The interview concluded and I was asked to log back in again the next morning for my results. The next morning, an hour before I was supposed to log on, I got an email message from CompaxDigital with a formal offer of employment. Attached to the email was a background check form for me to fill out. It asked for my full legal name, date of birth, current address, driver's license information, and college information for degree verification. It was at that point that I knew something was up. Jobs are not that easy to attain. I googled Mr. Spencer Bruington and was directed straight to the BBB site.
