Came across a job on Indeed for a Unit Clerk Position. The add said the position was for $20-$26 an hour. After connecting with Tamara Senault on teams the position pay jumped to $32 a hour. They had me deposit a printed check for $4k. After letting her know that my bank has to verify the large volume mobile deposit, she responded back saying that they will email me a new check with a smaller amount to ensure it goes through. I told them I don't feel comfortable with depositing more. She responded with " I will be here to help you send back whatever money is not needed" I feel like this is a scam to get me to send them money back so they have my bank account information. There was no call to interview. Everything has been over Teams which is really strange to me.
