Date: October 21, 2025 Time: 5:16 PM Phone Number: (530) 483-5321 Carrier: Peerless Network LLC I received a prerecorded voicemail from this number impersonating Comcast/Xfinity. The message claimed I was “moments away from losing a 50% discount” on my monthly bill and told me to call back immediately to prevent my “rate from doubling.” This is a telecom-impersonation scam designed to pressure people into giving payment information. Comcast does not use robocalls with last-minute discount deadlines or rate-increase threats. Here is the script: "Hi there, this voicemail is from Comcast Xfinity. You're just moments away from losing your 50% discount on monthly bill. Time is almost up. Call back on the number showing on your caller ID right now to stop your rate from doubling. Thank you." Warning: Do not call this number back. Block it and report similar calls. Actions Taken: Reported to Peerless Network (the carrier) for abuse, with evidence included.
