Two people showed up at my home and claimed to be visiting in partnership with Xcel energy and be visiting on behalf of the city of prior lake. They said we have already paid for these discounts via our taxes and that there was some kind of mistake where we might not be receiving the discounts we were promised from the city. They wouldn’t accept me just reading my statement they had to look for themselves and take pictures. But I realized it was sketchy when I was asking questions and asked for more information or if I had to sign up right now and they were so weird about it. I regret providing my information regarding my Xcel energy account and am glad I stopped them halfway through when they tried to get my credit card info via an account. Now I’m scared though because they took a picture of my statement.
