Scam Type: Employment Scam / Fake Job Offer Phone Number: 647-330-9157 Description: I received an unsolicited text message from this number offering a job as a “Remote Online Evaluator” with claimed pay of $100–$600 per day for 1–2 hours of work. The message included a job poster image and asked me to reply “YES” or “INTERESTED.” The number belongs to the 647 area code (Toronto, Ontario, Canada) and is registered under Rogers AT&T Wireless, which matches a known pattern of foreign job-recruitment scams targeting U.S. consumers. I do not recognize this number and I did not apply for any job with this sender. The message fits a common scam where scammers collect personal information or recruit victims into fraudulent activity. I did not respond and I blocked the number. Actions Taken: Phone number has been reported to the FTC and the wireless carrier. Warning to Others: Do not respond to unsolicited job offers claiming high pay for minimal work.
