It was a weekend and enterprise Rent-A-Car had no more cars so I was trying to find a place online that I can get a good deal on a Rent-A-Car. I asked if they had any promotions on a few days for a rental. She sounded Chinese but when she gave me her name, it was like Laura Smith that’s not the name but that’s what happened. It was like I was like Laura Smith.??? Anyway she was very quick very good at it. She said the promotion with was with “go to bank” card debit card or gift card. Go to bank is capitalized. It’s an actual like Bank Card that they have me purchase $450 might’ve actually been more than that just deposit but purchase it at the dollar tree so I we are kind of in a bind so I had to go to the dollar tree by this car and I figured it’s a promotion people do things like that all the time right? Well, then, as as everything kept progressing, she says you got the card and I said yes and she said OK. Go ahead and give me the number on it and I said wait. Wait a minute. Wait a minute why am I giving you the number where is the car gonna be? I’m not coming. I can’t come pick it up at my own car. She said we deliver. I was like oh you deliver. That’s great so I gave her my home address, which is crazy and the number on the card because she said she needed it just then and I said why give me the number I’m gonna give it to the guy that’s bringing the car. She said we’re gonna bring it to him. Give him the number too so I did and then I stopped at Dollar Tree and then she said are you gonna be home soon because they’re coming by right now I said yeah I’ll leave the dollar tree right now and so I did and it was probably around 6 PM and I she was always said she would call me back but she never did But I called her back and she would answer the phone every time I called her back and then I told her that I was almost home, when would my car be there? She says oh they’re having a problem with delivery of the airport and they’re going to come here and pick up the car and write then I knew something was wrong because she told me earlier that they had no cars there and that she was near the enterprise Rent-A-Car in Avon Park. I knew that ENTERPRiSE rent-A-Car didn’t have any more cars and she said this guy was going back-and-forth back-and-forth to the place to this place to get my car to get to the house is now 730 at night and I’m sitting outside by my mailboxes we live out in the country so I’m thinking this doesn’t sound right and I started crying and I’m like what do I do so I called her back for the final time and the phone number was disconnected I knew at that point I was in trouble so I went inside to my fiancé who I was renting the car for I told him what happened and he was like what??? so I had him call the same number that I had for this person it was on his phone. I was actually doing it on. He called her and said the same thing I said do you have any promotions or anything and she was like oh yeah, yeah yeah we have promotion and she told me the same thing she told me and then my fiancé he’s like OK well I just got your number from my friend and my cousin. They just rent a car for you and he’s waiting on his car and he gave his name that I rent the car for him under and she invoice she freaked out and I my fiancé handed me the phone and I go hi LAURA Smith remember me. I need a car now or my money back right now or we come in after you.. but we didn’t really know where they were so that was the end of that. We did call the police and reported it just in case it would help anybody else but in the end it was $450 we lost.
