Description
I first encountered this scam through what appeared to be a legitimate advertisement on Facebook or Instagram. Shortly after clicking the ad, I was contacted via WhatsApp and invited to a group called “The BlackRock Insight Core Group.” Within the group, the Admin/Group leader Isabella Grant promoted “Aladdin” a high-yield, legitimate cryptocurrency trading platform connected to “The BlackRock Insight Core Group.” She claimed participants could earn 35-60 percent or more in weekly returns through something she called the “Aladdin Quantitative Intelligence System Plan.” After trading for several months—growing my account to over $5,000— When repeatedly being asked to deposit more, in a way that was very unprofessional, I attempted to withdraw my funds. The withdrawal looked as though it was successful, but I never got my funds, nor my earnings from trading. All communication took place through WhatsApp chats. The phone numbers were from Manhattan and Long Island, New York. Area Codes 646 & 934.
