I am submitting this statement to report that myself and my daughter, Milan Austin, are victims of a puppy-sale scam involving a person using the name “Emily’s European Dobermans” on TikTok. I, her mother, paid the funds on her behalf. My daughter communicated directly with the breeder through text message. The breeder provided photos of a Doberman puppy, details about the dog’s registration, and a contract outlining the terms of sale. Milan and the breeder both signed the contract, and based on this documentation, the purchase appeared legitimate. To support my daughter’s purchase, I sent two payments totaling $900 ($500 and $400). The payments were made as a gift to assist my daughter with acquiring the puppy. On the scheduled delivery date, Milan received a message from a company claiming to be the transporter responsible for delivering the puppy. They stated that the breeder had not provided a proper crate and demanded an additional $499–$599 for a “temperature-controlled crate.” When Milan contacted the breeder, the breeder insisted that she must use that company and refused to allow pickup in person or the option of using a reputable transport company. After further review, it became clear that the puppy and the transport company were not legitimate. Milan was informed she could not receive the puppy unless she paid the additional fee, and the breeder has refused to refund the original $900. We are reporting this as a coordinated scam. We can provide all documentation, including screenshots, payment receipts, the contract, and communications with both the breeder and the supposed transport company. I declare that this information is true and accurate to the best of my knowledge.
