This content is based on victim and potential victim accounts. Government agencies and legitimate business names and phone numbers are often used by scam artists to take advantage of people.
I have been involved with 2 job scams that start out just like this one. They will ask for you, then proceed with "credentials". They then will ask you to download Teams/zoom/skype and proceed with a fake interview. One asked for me to send bank details to send a check for equipment. The other one didn't get that far because I asked for official offer letter, paperwork to continue and they stopped replying. No job will ask for you without identifying themselves. Most jobs will email you not text message you.
