We found the website erwinjohnson.com and became interested in purchasing a puppy named "Mac". After a number of emails from the alleged owner of Mac, we received a contract for the sale of the puppy indicating the seller was based out of Cody, Wyoming. The contract amount was $700 for the dog plus a $150 delivery fee. We were provided with information as to how the alleged owner would accept payment. Prior to sending payment we went to check to make sure that the website was removing Mac as being a puppy that was still available, and the entire website was down. We waited to see if the website came back online but it did not. We became skeptical and happened to do a search on BBB and found another similar story with similar names and places and knew at that point this was a scam.
