Phone call: Not answered, from (702) 620-9373 Searchlight, NV on Nov 20, 2025 at 2:09 PM Recorded message on voice mail. From: Ryan To: Me, misspelled my first name Reference: A file number that I don't recognize Purpose: "I'm calling from document verification on behalf of Greenberg Associates regarding a complaint related to a civil filing that has been requested against you you (sic) were mail (sic) documentation to address this matter, but it has been reported as a failure Respond (sic), If you did not receive the notice or if you have any questions regarding the action, it's now being taken against you (sic) You can reach out to the issue Firm (sic) at (833) 925-3889 (sic) With your final number (sic) Please be advised any continued failure to respond, (sic) could result in legal decisions Made (sic) without your participation you (sic) have officially been notified... (sic)" This person apparently has nothing relevant to me except my last name and telephone number. I have not lived in Nevada for 10 years. He also called my son, who still lives in Las Vegas, looking for information. My son asked questions which the caller refused to answer. Therefore my son gave him nothing. I was prompted to report this since it is so similar to another recently reported scam and the area code and exchange numbers are identical (833) 925-!!!! . I have received more than two hundred calls referencing Nevada area codes since April of this year. Sometimes five calls a day, five days a week and often on Saturday and Sunday. No two calling numbers are the same. Most appear to be from autodialers giving randomly generated Nevada numbers similar to mine, and most trigger a message of suspected spam on my I-phone. I only answer when a name from my contact list comes up with the number. I would not have responded to this one at all if my son had not taken it seriously and called me, I told him, "wait until you get older. you will be ignoring these too!". Is it not interesting that it is harder today to get in touch with a stranger with a cellular phone on his/her person than it was when there were only phones on landlines. And its even harder to contact a telephone company's customer service.
