I used Faxly to send a fax because the service advertised a cost of $0.99 for a single fax. At no point during the process was I informed that I would be charged any additional fees. However, shortly after sending the fax, I discovered that Faxly charged me $20.00, an amount that was never disclosed or authorized. There was no notice, no confirmation screen, no terms presented, and no indication whatsoever that a $20 charge would occur. When I checked my account afterward, it showed no active subscription, despite the fact that I was charged as if I had enrolled in one. Based on numerous similar complaints on Trustpilot, it appears this is a recurring pattern with this company: customers are shown a $0.99 fee, then charged $20 without consent or clear disclosure.
