Description
A letter arrived in the mail claiming to be a "final attempt to renew" motor vehicle services. The services that allegedly needed renewal were rental, 24hour assist, and tow coverage. According to the letter, I attempted to renew the coverage but didn't complete the process. The letter claimed to be time sensitive, urgent, and requested that I call their number immediately. My name, address and vehicle year/make/model were correct. Obvious Errors and signs it's a scam: No return address on the letter In place of the company name, they put my Vehicle year/make/model Official Business. Mystery bar code above a message to call customer service department to update information. The letter says it's a renewal of service, but the instructions are for calling to activate the coverage. The policy renewal number is the same as customer ID. The temporary cards say "car-year/make/vehicle" instead of "car-year/make/model" I bought a used SUV, not a new car as stated on the temporary card
